1/24/12 --- Well things are finally starting to pile up.  We received about 4”+ yesterday of new snow.  We also had some accumulation over the weekend as well.  We have about 14”to 18” on the ground.  We finally have enough cover for the groomers to work with.  All 3 of the Cook County Snowmobile Club Groomers are out today.

Hungry Jack Lodge and Campground resort is off the Gunflint Trail, adjacent to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area ((BWCAW) and is the only resort on Hungry Jack Lake in the heart of the six million acre Superior National Forest.

There are over 350 miles of groomed snowmobiling trails and ski trails in the Grand Marais and Gunflint Trail area of Minnesota available for your snowmobiling and skiing enjoyment. Hungry Jack Lodge Resort is right on one of the groomed snowmobile spur trails of the Gunflint Snowmobile Trail system and caters to people who are on snowmobile and ice fishing vacations.

Lakeside cabin, log cabin and cottage rentals are available during the summer, fall and winter seasons of the year at our Minnesota family lakefront resort. Our lakeside cabins and log cabins accommodate from 2 to 20 people in a single cabin or log lodge.  Our Gunflint Trail lakeside resort welcomes any size group or family for summer, fall or winter vacations or get-away's.  The campground at Hungry Jack Lodge resort has 14 wooded campsites which can accommodate tents through large motor homes. 

Summer activities at our MN family resort include superb fishing, canoeing, hiking, camping and much much more.  Access to the Boundary Water Canoe Area (BWCA) can be made by canoe directly from Hungry Jack Lake with only one very short portage.  Hungry Jack Lake offers premier smallmouth fishing as well as Walleye and Northern fishing along it's 8 1/2 miles of shoreline. Boat, canoe and pontoon boat rentals are available at our Gunflint Trail, Minnesota family resort during the summer.

Hungry Jack Lodge is located on Hungry Jack Lake 2 1/2 miles off Gunflint Trail, 32 miles northwest of Grand Marais.  We are just two miles from the Canadian border and less than one mile from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, making Hungry Jack Lodge and Campground an ideal "base" for day trips into the BWCA for those who want to experience the the Boundary Waters but do not want to give up the convenience and comfort of a lakeside northwoods resort.  Driving Directions.
