fishing Minnesota style on hungry jack lake
at Hungry Jack Lodge family fishing resort

Collage of fishing photos from Hungry Jack LodgeHungry Jack Lodge is one of the oldest fishing resorts on northern Minnesota's Gunflint Trail and offers a variety of fishing experiences both summer and during the MN winter ice fishing season for your whole family. Hungry Jack Lake is a MN DNR Smallmouth Bass managed trophy lake. As a result, guests of our MN family fishing resort will generally catch smallmouth bass that are larger than what is normally caught in similar Gunflint Trail lakes.  Walleye and Northern Pike are also plentiful at our MN fishing resort and the sizes of fish being caught have been getting larger in recent years.

Being adjacent to the BWCAW guests at our northern Minnesota fishing resort also have the opportunity to fish the mid Gunflint Trail lakes inside the BWCA(W) very easily. By renting a canoe and taking two very short portages you will be in the BWCAW and some of the best fishing lakes in Minnesota.  So, you can easily fish not just Hungry Jack Lake, but many other surrounding lakes with ease while a guest at our Gunflint Trail family fishing resort.

Hungry Jack is a Minnesota DNR managed smallmouth bass trophy lake.  We also enjoy excellent walleye fishing.  Hungry Jack Lake is 463 acres in size with a maximum depth of 71'.  Full fishing guide services, with boat rentals are available, through Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground on a total of six lakes without motor restrictions. MN fishing licenses, live bait and tackle are available at right here at our family fishing resort.  View some of our Gunflint Trail fishing photos.  We recently added some new fishing photos to the slideshow of fish and fishing photos.
