Everyone has that one photo.
You know the one we're talking about...
The photo that everyone tells you is so good,
"It could be a postcard!"

Well, don't keep it to yourself - share it!  If you have a great photo that you believe deserves to be displayed for the whole world to see, submit that favorite photo to us and you could not only have your photos displayed on our website, but you could also win an embroidered Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground jacket!

Every three months (may be longer depending on the amount of submissions) the staff of Hungry Jack will choose their favorite photo, sent in by you, our clients.  The person who entered the winning photo will be awarded a Hungry Jack Lodge Jacket.  Click here to email scanned or digital photos (in JPEG format)

Along with the your JPEG file, please also include:  

  • Your Name, address and phone number.

  • Where and when the photo was taken.

  • A short paragraph about the photo.  (Why was it taken?  Is there a story behind the picture?)

Sorry, photo submissions that are not in JPEG format or do not have the above information supplied will not be posted on our website.  Please read the rules pertaining to Photo Contest submissions ( shown near the bottom of this page) completely before submitting your photos.

Hungry Jack Lodge Photo Contest - Sunrise over Bearskin Lake located along the Gunflint Trail in Grand Marais, Minnesota

The sunrise photo shown at the left was submitted by Aaron Perrault of North Branch, Minnesota.  Aaron's comments about this winter photo are

"This picture was taken on Bearskin Lake on the morning of March 9, 2008.  We had just arrived at our fishing spot and decided to take a minute to get a picture of the beautiful sunrise."

Really nice photo Aaron.  It seems that more people are sending in sunrise photos lately, as opposed to sunsets.  It's a welcome change.  The sunrises on Hungry Jack Lake and many of the other east-west lakes along the Gunflint Trail are superb.

You must be at least 13 years old to submit photos.
All photos must be submitted in JPEG  or JPG format only.
Photos must have been taken in the Grand Marias MN, Gunflint Trail, BWCAW or  Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground areas.
We ask that you limit entries to two photos per family (or group), per photo contest period.
Your submission is subject to Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground approval.
Address and phone numbers of participants will not be displayed on website.
Photos mailed to Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground to be displayed on our website cannot be retuned.
Photos sent in to be displayed on this site will become the property of Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground for the use of Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground as they deem appropriate and fit.
No royalties or compensation will be provided for photos used by Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground on this site or for any other advertising or promotional purposes.
